Our dog Ruby lived to be about 18 years old. She was a proud old girl. and we knew that she would not do well with extensive testing and hospitilization. When she faced problems with her balance and mobility, we decided on palliative care for her. Dr. Hernandez came to our home to help keep her comfortable with medications and laser treatments.
Dr. Hernandez's energy and kindness was a gift during this difficult time. Ruby was doing better for a while, but eventually the day came and we knew she needed to be euthanized. Even though it was an evening hour, Dr. Hernandez was there for us to help her pass with dignity.
